Wild Camping Experience

Experience the freedom of the hills with a wild camping experience in the Lake District. Spending a night backpacking in the mountains away from the crowds and surrounded by nature is an unbeatable outdoor experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired. It's well worth foregoing a few home comforts for the chance to wake up to a mountain sunrise and feel part of the outdoors, not removed from it.

As well as being a fantastic outdoor experience on its own, the wild camping adventure is designed is to give you the confidence, skills and awareness for your own backpacking forays into the mountains.

There is a choice of spending one or two nights camping.

Fitness requirements and experience

You will need a good level of fitness in order to carry a backpack with your overnight gear and food for at least two days (this will weigh approxiamtely 12kg). Previous experience of walking in the mountains is very useful and will give you a good idea of the fitness requirements.
